Humba's Team is Doubling!

Humba Ventures invests in spiky, amazing teams building at the frontiers of deep tech, and in nationally critical industries like defense and manufacturing. We work with founders who were math and science olympiad champions, or wrote foundational papers in their industries, or achieved world-class success in their previous endeavors. If we want these types of founders to work with us, then it's only fair that Humba's team should also be spiky and unusual in similar ways.

My part-time teammate Pratyush is a great example of this. He was a national spelling and geography bee champion in middle school and high school, then turned poker pro and reached 2nd in the world for tournament play. He's also humble and super nice. In a sea of investors with similar  backgrounds, I think he really stands out to founders that meet him.

With this team-building goal in mind, I'm extremely excited to announce that Anna-Sofia Lesiv is joining Humba Ventures as our first full-time investor. She's literally doubling the full-time investing team, which was previously just me.

I've spoken with hundreds of new and aspiring investors over the last few years, and Anna-Sofia quickly stood out to me. She's very intelligent, curious about everything, and super nice. She's also an incredible thinker and writer, as evidenced by her essays written for our friends at Contrary Capital. Anna-Sofia previously worked at 8VC and Founders Fund, and is exactly the kind of investor that will stand out to founders that work with Humba. I'm thrilled that she's joining the team, and like me, she'll be focused on making $250k-$1m investments in all things deep tech and American Dynamism.
